Homestay Program in Spain

[/mk_fancy_title]

In a homestay, you get opportunity to live with (and become part of) a Spanish family. Spend time getting to know your family and enjoying daily life in Spain. Host families welcome foreign students into their homes for a number of reasons.

They are often interested in other cultures, they want to have the opportunity to share their lives and interests with someone else, and they feel a strong connection to the people they meet.

Students who participate in this program will improve their Spanish skills, learn about a different culture, and experience Spanish lifestyle with their host family.

Location

[/mk_title_box]

The historic town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial is nestled in the heart of the Guadarrama mountain range, about thirty miles from Madrid. This town is known for its cultural and historical significance, as well as its rigorous academics. Professors from the most prestigious universities in the world travel here to give lectures at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Summer Courses. The town has a population of about 50,000 and is located 3,000 feet above sea level. It is a haven for “madrileños” who seek to enjoy the cool temperatures and fresh air far from the summer heat in the city of Madrid.
